Study abroad + Language learning + National security = Boren

Up to $25,000 toward study abroad program of choice, for programs involving languages critical to US national security
Undergraduate Students: Boren Scholarships provide up to $25,000 to U.S. undergraduate students to study abroad in areas of the world that are critical to U.S. interests and underrepresented in study abroad. Applications due January 28th. Recipients are required to work for the government for 1 year post-graduation in a role related to national security (defined broadly).
Graduate Students: Boren Fellowships provide up to $30,000 to U.S. graduate students to add an important international and language component to their graduate education through specialization in area study, language study, or increased language proficiency. Boren Fellowships support study and research in areas of the world that are critical to U.S. interests. Applications due January 21st. Recipients are required to work for the government for 1 year post-graduation in a role related to national security (defined broadly).
