Tips to reduce your environmental impact during the holiday breaks:

• LIGHTS OUT AND HEAT DOWN - Turn off lights and turn down the heat in your residence hall private rooms, common rooms, and office spaces to conserve energy.

• UNPLUG IT - Unplug power cords from the outlets for computers, faxes, printers, coffee makers, and mini-refrigerators that continue to draw electricity while plugged in.

• LABS - CLOSE fume hood sashes and POWERDOWN nonessential lab equipment.

• REPORT water leaks and broken windows and doors to Facilities Management.
