NUCLEAR Fun Fact of the Week
Department / Organization: American Nuclear Society
Which element is commonly used as a neutron moderator in nuclear reactors? (Click blue link for answer)
ANSWER: Water! If you enjoyed this fact and want to explore nuclear from many different perspectives, including energy, policy, and engineering, consider joining the American Nuclear Society. We host casual meetings with FREE FOOD, opportunities to talk directly with INDUSTRY PROFFESIONALS, NETWORKING and OPEN CONVERSTAIONS about how nuclear fits into the future of energy.
Both events are held in Hill Hall. Nuclear seminars are every Wednesday from 4–5 pm in Room 202, followed by ANS meetings from 5–6 pm in Room 209. Come to either or stay for both. HOWEVER, THERE ARE NO MEETINGS THIS WEEK (WE WILL HAVE OUR NEXT MEETING ON WEDNESDAY FEBURARY 4TH)
