Take part in a short survey to improve engineering education
Department / Organization: Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences Shape the future of engineering pedagogy! Take our 5-min NSF survey on sustainability in teaching & join our faculty network
Dear Colleagues, Our research team, in collaboration with colleagues at CU-Boulder, wants your input on the future of sustainability concepts in engineering education for an NSF-funded project. Below we include a 5-10 minute survey, plus an invitation to join a Faculty Learning Network on this topic. Our project is titled “From Silos to Systems: Educating Engineers for Holistic Problem Solving” and is co-funded by NSF and The Lemelson Foundation. It will examine how different approaches to engineering education affect students' capacity to solve complex problems, with extra attention to a pedagogical framework called Engineering for One Planet (EOP). Who should participate in the survey? We welcome survey responses from all faculty, regardless of department or whether you use EOP principles into your teaching. Survey participation is voluntary. How do I join the Faculty Learning Network? Add your contact information at the end of the survey or, if you’d rather not take the survey, email me directly. Thank you for your time and commitment to engineering education at Mines.
