ANSWER: Radium! OVERVIEW: If you enjoyed this fact and want to explore nuclear from many different perspectives, including energy, policy, and engineering, consider joining the AMERICAN NUCLEAR SOCIETY. We host casual meetings with FREE FOOD, opportunities to talk directly with INDUSTRY PROFFESIONALS, and OPEN CONVERSATIONS about how nuclear fits into the future of energy. SEMINAR DESCRIPTION: Today's meeting will feature Dr. Weronika Wolszczak, a Research Scientist in Nuclear Science at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Her background spans quantum physics, materials science, and atomic scale research. (Check out her bio linked below!) TIME/LOCATION: There are two back to back events held in Hill Hall. Nuclear seminars are every Wednesday from 4–5 pm in Room 202, followed by ANS meetings from 5–6 pm in Room 209. Come to either or stay for both.
