Main Campus Internet Upgrade Complete!
Department / Organization: IT From offices to the stadium, the main campus is now on a faster, more reliable infrastructure. See what’s next.
The Network Modernization Project has officially hit a major milestone: the main campus is complete! Whether you’re in a lab, at the stadium, or crossing the campus commons, you are now powered by our new, high-speed infrastructure. What about Village at Mines Park (Buildings 1903-2027)? While the heart of campus is done, we aren't stopping there. Upgrades for Village at Mines Park (Buildings 1903-2027) and other extended areas will continue through the end of the academic year. You can track the remaining schedule and specific building timelines on our website: https://it.mines.edu/networkmodernizationproject/ With over 35,000 devices hitting the "Mines" Wi-Fi daily, we want to ensure you're getting the best speeds possible. If your connection feels spotty, it usually comes down to a quick device setting. If you’re experiencing trouble, try the following: 1) Update Device Settings: Ensure your device is configured correctly for the “Mines” network. https://helpcenter.mines.edu/TDClient/1946/Portal/KB/ArticleDet?ID=152309 2) Disable MAC Randomization: This will prevent repeated requests to re-register your device when trying to connect to Wi-Fi. https://helpcenter.mines.edu/TDClient/1946/Portal/KB/ArticleDet?ID=135396 You can also contact the IT Service Desk for help. You can call us at 303-278-HELP (4357), submit a ticket at helpcenter.mines.edu, or stop by our desk in CTLM, room 156A For more information, send email to: elisabeth.williams@mines.edu Published in Digest Date: Monday, March 30, 2026 |
