What's Something that Makes You Happy??
Department / Organization: McBride Honors Stop by the McLovin' Table in Maple Plaza today to share your answer and see what kids and adults had to say on happiness!
The McLovin' Service and Gratitude committee is an offshoot of the McBride Honors Program dedicated to cultivating a spirit of giving back, inspiring participants to engage in meaningful acts for our communities. We've been hard at work this semester volunteering with Mitchell Elementary School to promote intergenerational connection. During our last week of volunteering, we asked the kids, "What makes you happy?" and wrote their answers on paper leaves. Common answers were their cats, dogs, family, food, and 6 7. Now, we want to hear what makes you happy! Our team made a 7 foot tree out of plywood to display all the leaves on! If you'd like to be a part of this project, join us in Maple Plaza from 11 am to 3 pm the week of March 30th to write your own leaf, help us paint the tree, and grab some snacks! We'd love to see you there! For more information, send email to: luke_smith@mines.edu Published in Digest Date: Thursday, April 2, 2026 |
