Join us for a presentation from Marla Dowell, a finalist in our search for the next leader of Mines research. She will share her approach to leading research and outline her vision for the future of research at Colorado School of Mines.

This seminar is an opportunity for the campus community to hear directly from the candidate, ask questions, and engage in discussion about the direction of Mines’ research strategy in the years ahead.

Marla L. Dowell, Ph.D., is a senior leader with extensive experience in advancing sponsored research across universities, federal laboratories, and industry. She has a proven track record of creating experiential learning opportunities for students through her current role leading the EDGE Consortium and in previous positions at NIST. Her work focuses on fostering collaboration, promoting researcher?success, and translating innovation into impactful outcomes. Dr. Dowell is a Fellow of AAAS, IEEE, and SPIE.
