VP of Research Candidate Presentation April 6th

Please join us for Vice President of Research candidate presentation.

Join us for a presentation from Mark Van Dyke, a finalist in our search for the next leader of Mines research. He will share his approach to leading research and outline his vision for the future of research at Colorado School of Mines.

This seminar is an opportunity for the campus community to hear directly from the candidate, ask questions, and engage in discussion about the direction of Mines’ research strategy in the years ahead.

Mark Van Dyke, Ph.D., is a senior research leader with deep experience spanning industry, federal laboratories, and academia. His career includes early work in analytical chemistry and toxicology at Dow Chemical and Dow Corning, followed by major biomaterials research programs at Southwest Research Institute and faculty roles at Wake Forest and Virginia Tech advancing keratin-based regenerative medicine technologies. As Associate Dean of Research in the University of Arizona College of Engineering, Dr. Van Dyke has led strategic planning, major center development, industry partnerships, and significant growth in sponsored research. His work centers on advancing biomaterials innovation, supporting researcher success, and translating discovery into impactful applications.
