ORA- New proposal timelines & updated department assignments
Department / Organization: Office of Research Administration (ORA) Proposals will require 4-6 week advanced notice and your department may have a new contact in ORA
Please note the temporary adjustments to proposal lead times and redistribution of ORA work assignments. Proposal Changes – Effective Immediately for the next 6 months: 1. Minimum advance notice -Standard proposals: 4 weeks (previous 10 business days) -Non-standard or complex proposals: 6 weeks (cost share, 2 or more subrecipients/national lab partners, complex submission, etc; previous 15 business days) 2. Proposals with firm submission deadlines will take priority- Proposals without hard deadlines (NSF open deadlines or industry submissions) will be submitted as hard deadlines and staffing allows 3. Budget revisions may be delayed as we triage proposal deadlines Post Award: For the following departments, please submit any post award inquiries to postaward@mines.edu: -Chemistry -Civil and Environmental Engineering -Geology and Geological Engineering -Global Initiatives -Metallurgical and Materials Engineering All other departments should continue working directly with their assigned Research Accountant.
