Early morning 19th Street Closure - Aug 18 (Tuesday) Department / Organization: Infrastructure and Operations 19th Street will be closed in both directions from Elm to Illinois Streets on Tuesday, August 18 from 5:00 to 7:00 AM The purpose of this closure is for the construction contractor (Weitz) to install signage and controls on the HAWK crossing. Both lanes of traffic will be closed; the detour will be along Elm to 17th to Illinois Streets. There will be a flagger present on 17th Street to manage pedestrian crossings. Please follow all directions and use caution in this area during the closure. Thank you for your patience as we prepare for the start of the Fall 2026 semester.
