Rep. Tipton on campus MONDAY to discuss space resources bill

Join us for an inside look on crafting legislation and the future of space mining from 1-2 pm 8/26 in the Student Center.
U.S. Congressman Scott Tipton (CO-3) will be on campus on Monday, August 26th to speak about his bill, the Space Resources Institute Act. In addition to covering the future of space resources and its impact on Colorado’s economy, the discussion will also be an interesting insider look at crafting and passing legislation.
The Space Resources Institute Act was introduced in the US House of Representatives in February 2019 by Congressmen Scott Tipton and Ed Perlmutter.
Joining Congressman Tipton in the discussion about the status of space resources and future opportunities will be:
- Angel Abbud-Madrid, Program Director of the Mines Space Resources Program - George Sowers, Professor of Practice in Mechanical Engineering - Morgan Bazillian, Director of the Payne Institute.
