Free education research workshop on May 14 hosted by the PEER Institute

About the PEER Institute: The Professional development for Emerging Education Researchers (PEER) Institute supports scholars as they become education researchers and expand their research expertise. PEER focuses on Discipline-based Education Research, advancing both scholarship and teaching goals that are valued at all types of academic institutions. Learn more here.

About the workshop: PEER enhances the professional growth of participants and changes career trajectories. In this half-day interactive workshop, we’ll introduce you to fundamental skills in discipline-based education research (DBER) and the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL). You’ll practice these skills with each other to develop your research ideas and conceptualize a research project. Topics include generative writing, research design, matching your research questions to accessible data, and finding collaborators and participants. A hallmark of PEERworkshops is our responsiveness to participant interests, and activities center around advancing each participant's specific research project. No matter where you are in your education research journey, we’ll take you to the next step.
